Answers to common questions about our automation services

  • Short-wave infrared (IR) heats the paint film from the inside out and is ideal for primers, fillers, basecoats and clearcoats. UV-A LED cures UV-curable fillers and primers in around 2 minutes with very little heat. COMBI models combine both technologies.

  • Hand-held and mobile dryers suit spot repairs and smaller shops. Suspended rail-mounted dryers suit preparation areas and booths, and the automatic INFRARR 30K arch dryer suits high-volume shops that want full-vehicle drying in the booth.

  • Yes. Infrared dries only the area being repaired, so you avoid heating the whole booth. The INFRARR 30K only switches on the lamp banks needed and displays actual energy use and cost for each cycle.

  • In most cases, yes. The 30K runs on lightweight aluminium rails fixed to the walls or ceiling and is designed to fit existing booths and preparation areas without reducing working space. We assess your booth before quoting.
